			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Taylor Mali is a slam poet.  He also taught for 9 years.  While I had never heard of him before today, I had read the poem that he will perform in the video below.</p>
<p>Well, actually, I had seen a version of the poem that was supposedly anonymous.  It turns out that <a href="http://www.taylormali.com/index.cfm?webid=51" target="_blank">Taylor Mali</a> wrote this back in 1999.  I&#8217;ve always liked the poem but I find that it is even more inspiring when performed by Taylor Mali.</p>
