Cant Keep Quiet!

We haven’t had rain in a long time, but for the past few days I’ve been listening to rain just outside my window.

This rain isn’t wet, though.  It’s dry and yellow.  It clings to everything.  All the cars have a yellow hue.  It’s making people sick.

The oak trees are raining pollen down when ever there is the slightest breeze.  There’s enough that it actually sounds like it is lightly raining outside.

Personally, I wish it would stop.  It’s making me sneeze and cough and it’s giving me a headache.  Sadly, it will get worse before it gets any better.

Gah!  Allergies!

I hate them.  Don’t ask what I’m allergic to.  The list is too long.  Let’s just say that this time of the year I am always miserable.  Today was no exception.

My nose hurts from blowing it so much and I’m tired from the allergy medicine I’m taking.

I just want to fast forward a couple of months.  Or somehow vacuum all the pollen out of the air at least around me.

Please don’t recommend that I take allergy shots.  I did that for four years.  Four!  Two shots each week for four years and I still  could never get to a maintenance level.  The long term effects of those four years of shots seem minimal at best.
