It seems like everything is happening in Florida these days. Tornadoes, astronaut stalkers and now celebrities dying.
Anna Nicole Smith died in Hollywood, Florida today. She collapsed in her room at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino and was rushed to the nearest hospital where she was pronounced dead. Her son, Daniel, died 5 months ago in the Bahamas shortly after the birth of her daughter.
The cause of death is under investigation and an autopsy will be performed.
I'll admit, I've never been a fan of Anna Nicole. For me she fits into the same category as Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie. All three are famous for being famous. They are famous for their looks and outlandish behavior and not for any talent they may or may not possess.
To be fair, I'm not a big follower of any celebrity. I feel too much attention is given to celebrities. Just look at how irate people get when a celebrity takes a position on an issue. People forget that everyone has a right to their opinion and act like the celebrity is forcing their opinion onto them. In reality, if people didn't put so much emphasis on celebrity they wouldn't care what these people think.
Smith, though, wasn't someone you could ignore. If nothing else, her sad life proved the saying that truth is stranger than fiction.
My sympathies go out to her family. I hope Anna Nicole has found the peace she never had in life.

It's so sad when someone dies that young (and mysteriously). I'm sure she will soon become a cult figure who will take on a presence she never had in life.

I just happened to catch one of the entertainment news shows discussing Anna Nicole Smith yesterday. Yes, it was a trashy angle of "who is the father of her baby". I did not stay to watch those entertainment shows, they are so trashy yet compelling because the whole Anna Nicole story is just sad. Who knows what was real and was publicity and generally I would say who cares (I agree about the whole celebrity thing…it is more notoriety than celebrity) but the poor baby now goes through the media circus.

Why is everyone blogging about this? Who cares?
I almost listed her as a choice for my new-founded "Idiot of the Week" series, but I wanted to make sure homicide was ruled out first.

She had to die. The Big Giant Head has mandated that America's public consciousness be occupied 24/7 with celebrity gossip so that John Q. Public won't start thinking and wondering about real news and getting, uh, just a little suspicious. They reached the point where Britney Spears, athletes on steroids and runaway brides were saturating the news so much that even Joe Dumbfuck was gonna start getting suspicious. They needed a sacrificial lamb to keep all their scams going, and poor Anna Nicole was the chump.

Ben, I can only tell you why I wrote about this. I wrote about this because it happened in Florida just over 3 hours from my home.

A friend of mine runs an animal rescue operation and was very saddened by Anna Nicole's death. She was an avid spokesperson, advocate and suporter of ASPCA, The Humane Society, PETA and other animal rights groups.
I mention this to distinguish her from the likes of Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie, who are not only celebrities for celebrity's sake, but don't use that status to improve any lives but their own.
I feel sad for her daughter and hope she draws a more peaceful lot for her next go around.

And what happens to the baby now? Which one of these guys is the real father? There is like 3 of them

Poor kid, I really feel for her.
