Olbermann had a perfect bit on Countdown last night. It pointed out that it has been the conservative right which has been the ones parading Prejean around (a la Dobson) and that she nearly lost her Miss California crown over what she did do (between poses pictures that look very, very posed) and what she didn’t do (make contractually obligated appearances).

Michelle Bachmann, the far, far, far right representative from Minnesota, has actually done something serious. With three other Democrats as well.
I know. I couldn’t believe it at first either.
Bachmann and 5 others sent a letter to Rep. John Spratt (D – S.C.) urging the House and Senate members working to resolve the budget to adopt the language to enhance transparency at the Federal Reserve. They want the Senate language to be used in the final budget resolution regarding the Deficit Neutral Reserve Fund for Increased Transparency at the Federal Reserve.
The other letter signers were: Rep. Alan Grayson (D – Fla.), Ron Paul (R – Texas), Walter Jones (R – N.C.), Peter Defazio (D – Oregon) and Corrine Brown (D – Fla.).
Grayson is my representative. I think he’s doing a great job in his first year in Congress.
