About Me
My name is Laura and I live in Orlando, Florida. I'm a speech/language pathologist and a special education teacher. I've taught a self-contained classroom for students with severe language and learning disabilities. Now I'm working as a staffing specialist. Basically I make sure that my school stays in compliance with state and federal laws and mandates for special education.
I'm involved in the local teacher's union and follow politics pretty closely. I've been to Tally to lobby Florida's state House and Senate members on education issues.
Politically I'm left of center. More and more left of center every day it seems. They say you get more conservative as you grow older. Well I'm getting more liberal instead. Never could do things the normal way. 
I have a niece and a nephew but no kids of my own. Unless you count the dog and 3 cats.
