Blu Ray players have come down quite a bit in price so I’m thinking of getting myself one for Christmas. Do you have one? Would you recommend it? Are the streaming options (like Netflix) worth it? Really, really worth it? See, my cable modem is downstairs. I can’t see running an ethernet cable upstairs but I do have WiFi. I’m just not that certain that it is worth the bother or cost (for either one).

I would like to know too if Blu Ray is better.

I don’t have a Blu-Ray player, but I do use Netflix’s streaming service on my laptop over WiFi, and it’s very nice. I do plan to get a Blu-Ray player once I finally replace my TV to something that can actually display HD, and I definitely intend to get one that can handle Netflix.

Blu ray players are the best, the DVD must also be Blu ray. It is HD video, very clear.

Since I got Blu-ray I no longer enjoy seeing a movie in the theatre. Blu-ray has much more color and definition. I have a PS3 and just recently it is now able to handle Netflix streaming. We have been using the Netflix streaming (via WiFi) a lot over the last couple of weeks. It works pretty well. The streaming movies are not in high definition (like the Blu-ray) but they still look good.
