Lola, in 2006 Lieberman pledged to support the '08 Democratic candidate for president.  He didn't.  It is not about being bipartisan.  It's about keeping a promise.  Not only did he break his promise to support Obama, he stabbed him in the back during the campaign.  No party should reward that type of behavior. What happened to being bipartisan?  My theory is that people believe in bipartisanship as long as it's members of the oposing side coming over to support their view.
