“Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.” – Douglas Adams

I bet she probably drops a couple of grand for lunches too…caviar, lobster, champagne
Fact is the campaign bought her the clothes, she needed them, she’s worn very little of it and most will be returned. Nothing here I see about Barry’s $4500 suits and his wife’s $8,000 dresses. You think they can afford that on a junior Senators salary. If you do, I’ve got some land in Florida for ya.
I guess I’ve been able to live in mostly jeans and shorts for so long that I can’t imagine this much for a wardrobe. I read someplace that Jackie Kennedy said that if she spent as much as she was supposed to for clothes she would have to wear mink underwear.
Fact of the matter is that it is illegal for campaign funds to be used for personal gain. The clothes were actually bought by the RNC. Still, she could have used her own money to buy clothes for herself and her family. She’s not broke. If the campaign felt that she had to have new clothes, they could have purchased them at a less expensive venue. More to the point, Sarah could have paid for them herself. That $150,000 could have been spent on campaign advertising rather than making Sarah and her family look spiffy.
If by Barry you mean Barak, then you have obviously forgotten that he has also written a book which made him more than he makes as a junior senator. Plus, he’s buying his own clothes. The DNC isn’t buying his family’s clothes for him.
Well Jenn, you may be right. The RNC is now saying that the McCain campaign bought Palin’s clothes. Since that’s a violation of federal campaign laws I’m not surprised they’re trying to say it was the RNC.
It’s fun watching the McCain campaign and the RNC self-destruct.
What? No one said anything when the gov. gave each of the Presidental elects Millions for their campaigns? Wasn’t it like $85 million each? I about fell over! How many here will see that much money in their life? They were to spend it 4-5 months? Let’s remember that Obama did not take his share. Don’t know where he has gotten all of his money from and who he will have to “Thank or pay back” in some way…in the end, but someone believes in him! Hey, it’s really not their fault….they can’t help themselves once our money fills their bank accounts. Right? Soooo, good luck America. See ya at the voting box because we are the ones who put them in office…..Sometimes they forget that too!
