Bizarre Cats

I have three cats.  Two exhibit some bizarre (at least to me) behavior.

Stormi my oldest, isn’t the least bit worried about the dog.  The dog pretty much leaves her alone because Stormi will not run from Artie.  She’s also not afraid to slice her nose if the dog gets too close.

Artie is at least 10 times the size of Grace yet Stormi lets Grace terrorize her.  If Grace sees Stormi she’ll chase her out of the room.  Stormi who is bigger than Grace lets the brat scare her away.  And yet, Grace is terrified of ArtieArtie doesn’t even need to notice Grace for Grace to have a fit and  run away.  All Artie has to do is enter the same room with Grace
That’s what I don’t understand.  Why is Stormi not afraid of a 60+ pound, tall greyhound/lab mix but scared of a 10 pound cat?  Why is Grace such a bitch to Stormi

I have nine cats, all of them with more than 3 years, and no one has the same acting pattern. All are neutered, but it didn’t help so much, cause two of my females (Chiara and Lilith) are so jealous that fight to each other if they are at 1 meter close.
One of the males (Adonai) looks like a dog, very demanding and loves to thrive and run, happily, but another male, Franz, is totally independant.
I also have 3 dogs, 2 pit bulls and 1 neapolitan mastiff, and all of them love the cats. Some of them play with the dogs, others don’t.
But the most funny is about the food. Each cat has its preferences, its timing to eat and drink.
I really love cats, they seem to vary their emotions and actions much more than dogs, and its amazing, due to the richness of sensations that they give to me.

Animals have their own secret body language. My ten pound cat faced off a strange 70 pound dog that came into our front yard and made him run away. Go figure.

    I like your minimalist theme.
