“Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.” – Douglas Adams
Mark Fiore has a new cartoon out that does a good job of putting the anti-immigration argument in perspective. Just click on the picture below to be taken to the cartoon.
HaHa, that’s so funny. The anti-immigration movement is totally warped.
I’m reading this book at the moment called ‘No One is Illegal’ and it makes the argument that the government and the corporations thrive on immigrant labour and would never think of cutting it off. But they need to attack these workers to keep the divide between immigrant and citizen labour.
It goes into quite a lot of detail about how tough it was for the labour movement and how violent the repression was.

It was those two legged walking creatures with sharp sticks that started the whole problem.
