Did you know that people were doing research on napping? I didn’t. I like their results, though.
According to a Greek study published in the Archives of Internal Medicine, adults that napped at least 3 times a week for 30 minutes were 37 percent less likely to die from a heart attack or other heart problems than those adults who didn’t take naps.
Okay, so most of the people who participated in the study were in their 50s, and the strongest evidence was in working men, but that doesn’t mean that I shouldn’t take advantage of this study. According to the research not enough women in the study died during the study to be certain of a relationship between napping and heart attack. Personally, I plan to take that as evidence that napping is even better for women.
That’s my story, anyway, and I’m sticking with it.

I would guess that the people who are able to take naps are not necessarily Type A personalities who suffer most frequently from heart problems.
But WTF, a nap is an excuse to slack off for a while.

So grown-ups should take naps so that they won’t have heart attacks. And I bet that grown-ups are also less likely to have heart attacks if their little children take naps on a regular basis, als

Pshaw. Naps are for small children, cats, and old people.
I run on 5 hours of sleep, coffee, and sugar, and my right arm hasn’t tingled yet!

nap…. the second best three letter word for what you can do in/on the bed…. but since DH has been deployed for so long…. it’s the only one I remember.

I can’t nap anymore. With a toddler around I’d feel like I was missing something.

Depending on where you live how this will be working out, although in some culturs you have time off in the afternoon during which you can hold your “siesta” you definitely can’t take a nap in every country as easily as that. I doubt your boss would agree with you lying face down on your keyboard in the office in example.
