Once again the Republican National Committee has proven that they are the biggest terrorist in this country. In a desperate bid to win votes, the RNC has produced a commercial which they call “The Stakes.” The commercial features the sound of a ticking clock which slowly grows louder while showing clips of various al Qaeda leaders threatening to kill Americans. Before the end of the clip the ticking clock changes into a heart beat.

My personal opinion is that this commercial attempts to play on peoples’ fear of another possible terrorist attack. I believe that the RNC is hoping to use those fears to gain votes. Since the ad offers no plan only clips of people running around with guns and explosions, I can’t see any other goal for the ad other than to scare people.

If you look up the word terrorize you see that its definition is to fill with terror or anxiety : scare. The definition for terrorism is the systematic use of terror especially as a means of coercion. The RNC’s new ad definitely uses fear to coerce people to vote a certain way. Since the RNC have resorted to using terror to win votes, they have placed themselves in the same category as al Qaeda.

But wait! you say, They aren’t killing anyone!

True. But al Qaeda also relies on the videos to make people fearful. Why else would any of their leaders release a new video or audio tape unless it was meant to scare people?

Once again, Keith Olbermann does a great job pointing out the GOP’s shameful policy of using fear to sell their policies.

It’s this time of the year when I really (well, sort of) wish we didn’t live in a democrasy and have to go through the voting process every two years. The commercials try to scare the crap out of us or appeal to some base instinct. I think I’ll stay in a closet for the next two weeks. I’ve given up radio, TV and newspapers for the duration. Oh, btw, I’ve sent my absentee ballot in, so all efforts are wasted on me.

Is it a good idea to link this administration to Al Qaeda? Why would the RNC use this commercial? Except to remind people of the fear that exists out there… The only problem with that? These “reminders” only seem to come out when an election is near. In that way they are linking this administration to Al Qaeda.

They’ve got nothing but fear to run on. Sad thing is, they don’t even see that.

I see something like this and think, yeah, the clock is ticking dumbasses. And what are the Gops doing? Making futile votes on marriage amendments and arguing about whether a brain-dead woman is actually alive. Thanks much.

Really now! And where would the Republican party be without Al Queda? They owe everything to these alleged terrorist organizations. Why, if one were a speculating kind of person one might even imagine that Al Queda and the Republican party knew each other very well. Very well indeed.
