Gillie over at Posh Totty tagged me.
Yes, yes, I know, I usually don’t do these. Yes, yes, I know, I did one yesterday. Suck it up. This one looked interesting so I decided to accept the tag.
1) Are you happy/satisfield with your blog and with its content and look?
Yes. Anna over at PixelForte put it together. She did a great job!
I would like to learn enough to have a go at putting together my own design, though. Just to be able to say I did.
2) Does your family know about your blog?
Of course. They even read it. Well, I don’t think my brother does but the rest of my family reads it. Sometimes.
3) Do you feel embarassed to let your friends know about your blog or do you just consider it a private thing?
Not at all. I’ve told most of my friends about my blog. If I haven’t it’s simply because there hasn’t been an opportunity for it to come up in a conversation. I don’t make a big deal about it at work, though. Not because I’m embarrassed but because I want to keep a bit of distance between the blog and work. Some people from work know about it, though.
4) Did blogs cause positive changes in your thoughts?
Huh? If you mean did it make me want to get more involved in things then yes. It has also been a way to relieve stress from time to time so I guess the answer is yes.
5) Do you only open the blogs of those who comment on your blog or do you love to go and discover more yourself?
I surf. I’ve discovered some pretty interesting gems amongst the coals, too.
6) what does visitor counter mean to you? Do you care about putting it on your blog?
It’s on my blog. I rarely check it, though. I have a plug in that keeps track of information about who is coming to my blog that is interesting. Hell, Gillie reads my blog from the other side of the Atlantic. How cool is that!?! That sort of information is what I like to find out.
7) Did you try to imagine your fellow blogger and give them real pictures?
No. Which is a bit strange if you ask me. I blame it on gravatars.
8) Admit. Do you think there is a real benefit in blogging?
I’ve met some very interesting people. Maybe not in person but I have through the net. I’ve also gotten involved with a group of people on a group blog where we are trying to make a difference in this world.
It’s better than sitting at home staring at the tv all day.
9) Do you think that bloggers’ society is isolated from the real world or it interacts with events?
Hardly. Sure, there are always going to be those people who are in their little corner and aren’t paying attention to what others are doing. There are plenty of us out there, though, who are paying attention to what is going on. Yeah, some are raving lunatics (on both sides), but many have something intelligent to say about issues. Even blogs that normally don’t have anything to do with current events/politics will put up something about a current event if it moves the writer enough.
10) Does criticism annoy you or do you feel it’s a normal thing?
It depends on who is delivering it and how it is delivered. That is the same no matter what aspect of life the criticism is about. At least for me. If it is in an area that I feel might need some changes I’m more likely to accept what someone has to say. If it is mixed with good observations I’m also more likely to listen to what someone has to say. If it is simply “You’re an idiot!” then I laugh and delete the e-mail. If they say that to my face I laugh and walk away.
11) Do you fear some of the political blogs?
My blog is a political blog sometimes. There’s no point in fearing them. The trick is finding one that you agree with most of the time. That’s not always an easy thing to do.
Sure, there are a few out there that are scary. What’s scary, though isn’t the blog but the person behind the blog. It can be scary to know that there are people out there that seem to hate anyone and everyone that doesn’t fit their narrow definition of what is acceptable. However, I’ve seen the same problem at non-political blogs as well.
12) Were you shocked by the arrest of some bloggers?
Shocked? No. Some are definitely political in nature. At least one or two were kids blogging about people they were going to kill.
13) Do you think about what will happen to your blog after you die?
I’d like to think that someone would put up a post letting everyone know what happened but other than that, no, I don’t think about it.
14) What do you like to hear? What song would you link to your blog?
I like to listen to a wide assortment of music. I want none of it linked to my blog. One of the most annoying things I can think of is for a music clip or video to start blasting at me when I happen upon someone’s site. I don’t mind it if you have something up that I can choose to click on and listen to, but to have no choice annoys the hell out of me.
Now, 5 people I’d like to see answer this? Give me a bit.

You know I ♥ you, and thank you for including me, but I’m going to tempt the blog gods by declining. I’m not really into the whole tag thing.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I bin most tags and memes but as I am going through a “why do I blog” moment I opted in. I have found the answers quite interesting, not least in the similarity in responses from quite different bloggers from across the globe
