A few miscellaneous items that I felt like tossing out before the Florida primaries on Tuesday.

As a Democrat, I’m voting for Jim Davis for the Democratic candidate for Florida’s governor. Besides looking very smarmy in his ads, Rod Smith is in the pocket of Big Sugar. Big Sugar has also been paying for attack ads against Davis that were full of lies.

As for the Republican candidates running for governor, both are trying to portray themselves as being in the mold of Jeb Bush. Each are saying the other can’t possibly continue Jeb’s plan. Personally, I think Jeb’s plan has hurt this state in some areas but that’s neither here nor there. I wanted to share a cartoon that shows what Crist and Gallagher are trying to claim.

Jeb Crist

This particular cartoon doesn’t have to do with a political race. It does a pretty good job of showing why every day Americans don’t view the economy as being as great as Bush&Co would want you to believe. Plus it’s funny.

How can you not like the people in big sugar? They sound so sweet.

I’ll go back to my cage now.

I’m a former Floridian and I hate what Big Sugar does to both the environment and politics.
