Right now they say Frances will come in south of Orlando.

After work I got sandbags to put around our new water heater. The water heater we had to buy after Charley. Hopefully it will still be a water heater on Monday and not an expensive hunk of metal.

Getting the sandbags was fun. tongue-in-cheek Okay it was hot and a lot of work. Anyone coming to get sandbags could get them for free but you were limited to 10 bags. You also had to fill them youself. Thankfully some people helped me out after they finished filling theirs.

I need more than 10 sandbags, though, so I’m going to try and get more tomorrow.

One thing I can’t do by myself is board up the windows. The windows are either too high (2nd floor) or too big (french windows) for the most part.

Tomorrow, I also need to take the dog to the vet. She developed a heat rash when we had no power for 7 days after Charley. I was hoping that the rash would go away when the air conditioning when on but her skin is so sensitive that it was already adversly affected by the long term rash.

Until yesterday, though, this rash had looked like it was easing up. Yesterday, she started chewing on herself and I could tell that it had gotten worse. Better to treat it now than to wait until we have no power for a while and it is worse.
