Not only did the Swift Boat Liars attack Kerry but they called into question every other medal of any sort that had ever been given by the military. That was bad enough. Now, however, someone is going around in the GOP convention and handing out bandages with purple hearts on them.
Every one of those conventioneers that is wearing or has worn one of these bandages is showing a disgraceful lack of respect for every person who has served in the military. They are not only mocking Kerry, they are mocking all veterans.
I imagine that most of the people wearing these bandages would not consider wearing them if they weren’t at the convention. I have to believe that they have more sense then they are currently displaying. Otherwise I would have to believe that these people are demonstrating the worst the GOP has to offer.
